Tops and Bottoms Before Christmas.

Morning,

Welcome back to this weekly blog post. For anyone bored over the holidays and just found it you can expect some thoughts about the last week along with my favourite and least favourite reads. It’s as simple as that.

I don’t think anyone would argue that it’s been a strange and difficult time. Any suggestions at improving the creaking comic shop/US comics market have been jumped on by the little balls of spite on social media. It then became some laughable polarising slap fight. In the current climate if you’re not pulling back from the online there’s a good chance you are part of the problem. So I thought I’d make a couple of suggestions.

Put down the phone and pick up a comic. That’s an easy one. Hard to argue with. But I’m sure someone will.

Go in to a comic shop and buy a good comic. Not Amazon, not a High Street bookseller but an actual comic shop. Grab a monthly comic, there’s plenty out there to choose from. Make it a new one. Something that just came out. That way you can get hooked and look out for the next issue.

Then if you have any money left donate it to someone who needs it.

How is that for a mother fucking Christmas miracle.

In other news, we’ve just done our ACP Christmas episode and looked at good comics shizzle from the past, present and future. We also had a deep dive on this cracker! Have a listen here.

So….

Top.

This one is here for two reasons. I am the owner of a chihuahua cross who is as cute and crazy as Papi in this comic (see image below). And that it is just a fun breath of fresh air.

Bottoms.

Honestly…I have no words.

I’m loving the Global Comix reading app but they need to have a look at some of the crap on the Indie page.

Hahahahahahahaha someone actually expects to get paid for this!!!

I suppose saying it is a ‘Sad 😦 Zine’ has some truth. It made me sad as fuck.

Many thanks for reading and have a brilliant Christmas.
