Evening.
A bit later than normal. You may have guessed from the title that I am in France and attending Angouleme and it’s Comics Festival for a couple of days. One of the perks of helping out occasionally at Nobrow is that I get a pass to this amazing festival. Members of the slack, I can only apologise for bombarding you with photos and random thoughts as I took in the comics sights.

I’m sure I don’t have to tell you that the French hold a special place in their society and their hearts for comics. It’s not a niche hobby that is gatekept by the few but instead something for everyone. The Museum du Papier is a massive deal in the town even outside of the happenings of this weekend. Artwork by people from all countries and of all genres and styles. I spent my lunch hour taking it all in.

I’ll be giving a rundown of the trip on the next ACP, including some tips for people thinking of travelling out here. I’d highly recommend a visit, but book well in advance.
Tops.
Unsurprisingly this dude is one of the rockstars of the industry over here. If you heard last week’s ACP I waxed long and enthusiastically. So, to be brief here are some images of Eagles of Rome vol.VI from Enrico Marini.

Bottoms.
When you spend your days gazing at the glorious art here it becomes difficult to stomachs the scratches of the deluded. But here, in my weekly tradition, is the comic I least enjoyed.
Cracked Bounda by Smirey Hyena.

Yes, that spelling/grammar mistake in the first image gave me a indigestion.
Many thanks for reading.
