Old is New – ‘Cockney Kung-Fu’ is collected!

Remember way back in 2018 when myself, Vince, Dan and Nick Prolix decided to show the world of small press that it was possible to produce four comics in a year? Well, that series brazenly called The Awesome Comics Anthology contained one third a story by me with art by that magnificent bastard Nick Prolix. The story was called ‘Cockney Kung-Fu’ and featured a cast of characters from dirty old London in the seventies. You may even recognise one alleyway as being near the now location of Gosh Comics. What follows is an attempt at an armed robbery in the Old Kent Road. Then it all goes to hell. It’s foul mouthed and violent. All hand lettered by Nick. His skill levels are up there with the best and it was great to work with him.

After some much needed nagging from Adam Falp we’ve collected the main story along with Ed Traquino’s original anthology cover artwork (Ed is currently working as an MCU storyboard artist) and a one-pager we used as a promotional poster. Once I’ve paid Nick and the print costs everything else will be going to the mental health charity MIND. A great bunch of people.

You can but a copy by visiting the Big Cartel link here. 44 pages in Black and White it will cost you a trifling £6.

And do give a shout to Nick and tell him that he needs to do more comics! We miss him.

Many thanks for reading.
