EVERLUTION!
Like a stranger waving in the distance we can see Spring beckoning us nearer.
Meanwhile, I continue with this self-defeating weekly posting. I support, at least in this written form, the fetishism of expensive commodities. Stories cooked up from intangibility to then be laid down in inks and colours and sold like water in the desert to the lonely and desperate.
I joke just a little.
But isn’t living in a faked world all we attempt and wish for in this modern nightmare landscape? But don’t we need a sudden shock of cold air in the form of a smack or a punch or blue lights in the rear view mirror. We need to be jump-started back to the cruelty of this strange reality so that later we can enjoy the fantasy once again.
And maybe blog about it?
Who the fuck knows.
What I do know is that I bought a ‘Perishers’ newspaper strip original at the Comic Mart this week. A piece of British comics history for only £25!

Here are my choices for this week.
Tops.

Who’d have thought that a C List DC Comic from the Justice League offices could make this list? Far from perfect but falling into, for me, a series that is consistent and bounces along.

‘Red’ is just plain fun. Cut from some ‘Bwa-Ha-Ha’ cloth it rattles along at a decent pace. With some funny moments, loads of action and hearty and big servings of Boob Windows!
If you need a moment of uncomplicated and peaceful jocularity then this is for you.
Bottoms.
Good Lawd!

I write this as I am on a 5.30am tube train. It is simultaneously creepy and glorious in its lack of human beans.

See you next time.
